Cassie Lois (Hatcher) Oaks

Cassie Lois Hatcher Oaks, 64, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2019 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky. She was born in Louisville, Ky. on Nov. 8, 1954 to the late Jewell and Nancy Tyler Hatcher.  Cassie was of the Mormon faith, retired from the Butler County School System where she worked in the cafeteria and as a custodian.  She enjoyed playing and coaching girls softball, running and most of all taking care of her grandbabies.  She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Gordon Keith Hatcher.  

Cassie is survived by her husband of 49 years, Roy Oaks of Morgantown; son Joey Oaks of Morgantown; grandchildren Jessica Oaks (Fahad), Jailyn Oaks (Tanner), Jaret Oaks and Riley Oaks all of Morgantown; great grandchildren Bennett Flener, Logan Flener, Adlei Flener and Tahani Alotaibi; brother William Craig Hatcher (Denise) of Morgantown; sisters Gilda Marie Lee of Morgantown and Janice Faye Van Zant (Russell) of Elizabethtown; several nieces and nephews.   

Funeral service will be held at 2pm on Friday, October 11, 2019 at Smith Funeral Home with Tim Phelps officiating.  Burial will follow in Hill Haven Memory Gardens. Visitation will begin on Friday from 10am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
