Glen Adkins Obituary

Glen Adkins, 57, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at the Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, Ky. He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on February 27, 1961 to the late Ray and Bonnie Lindsey Adkins. Glen was of the Baptist faith and was a landscaper. He enjoyed fishing and catching up with friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers DP, Charles and Jimmie Adkins; sisters Rebecca Adkins and Sally Morris.

Glen is survived by his son James Glen Conkwright of Morgantown; two grandchildren and a great grandchild on the way; brother Sam Adkins (Carol) of Bowling Green; sisters Ruth Mendez of Bowling Green; Freida Carroll of Morgantown and Rita Christian (Weldon) of Louisville; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 2pm at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Embry officiating. Burial will follow in the Payton Phelps Cemetery. Visitation will begin Thursday, February 28 from 5-8pm and Friday from 8am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
