Macel Jolene (Phelps) Hunt

Macel Jolene Phelps Hunt, 79, of Morgantown, Kentucky entered into rest on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the Morgantown Care & Rehabilitation Center.  Mrs. Hunt was born April 13, 1939 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Roy Ellis and Ona Velma Tarrence Phelps.  She was a graduate of Butler County High School, a long term employee of Kellwood Manufacturing and retired from Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems.  Mrs. Hunt loved her family, photography, traveling and attending church at Belmont General Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member.  Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two spouses, Ivan Leroy Cardwell and Elmer Hunt;  siblings George Phelps Sr., Viva Jean Hunt, Adaline Johnson and two infant brothers Oral and Buddy.  

Mrs. Hunt is survived by one sister Shirley Phelps Smith (David) of Morgantown;  one sister in law Betty Phelps of Morgantown; one brother in law Oscar Hunt (Barbara) of Morgantown and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Funeral Service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, October 6 at Belmont General Baptist Church with Bro. Gary Embry officiating. Burial will be held in the Belmont Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday, October 5 from 11am-8pm at Smith Funeral Home and Saturday from 10am until time of service at Belmont General Baptist Church .
