Mary Nina (Oates) Gray

Mary Nina Oates Gray,77, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019 at the Skyline Trauma Medical Center in Nashville, Tn.  She was born in Caldwell Co., Ky. on September 11, 1942 to the late Robert Lee and Burchie Howton Oates.  Mary was a member of Woodbury Baptist Church. She retired from the Butler County Public Library. She crocheted hundreds of hats for children and loved to quilt.  Mary was the founder of the Project W.A.R.M.T.H. (Women are reaching mountains through Him). She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mary is survived by her husband of 55 years Rev. Murl E. Gray; two daughters Tamara Lea Gray Daugherty (Jesse) of Bowling Green and Michele Lynn Gray Moore (Michael) of Morgantown; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; sister Joanna Oates Matthews (Jerry) of Princeton, Ky. and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019 at 2pm with Bro. Ray Gilalland officiating.  Burial will follow in Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, Nov. 18 from 4-8 pm and on Tuesday from 8am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
