Peggy Jean Coons

Peggy Jean  Coons, 63, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green.  She was born in Butler Co. on Nov. 15, 1955 to the late Mike Johnson and Gladys Johnson who survives. She loved to watch T.V. and be with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father Mike Johnson; husband John Coons; sister Patsy White; brothers Jimmy, Darrell, Timmy and Duwayne Johnson.

Peggy is survived by son Cody Coons (Courtney) of Bowling Green; daughter Melanie Coons of Louisville;  grandchildren Phoenix, Kylie and Axel all of Bowling Green; mother Gladys Johnson of Morgantown; brother Kimbel Johnson (Ina) of Morgantown.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 24 at 1pm at Smith Funeral Home with Kimbel Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Wade Cemetery. Visitation will begin Wednesday, January 23 from 4-8pm and Thursday 8am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
