Barbara Reeves Obituary

Barbara Sue Barnard Reeves, 82, of Morgantown, KY passed away Monday, March 18th at Morgantown Care and Rehab. Barbara was born in Salem, Indiana on Dec. 9, 1941, to Russell Barnard and Mary Beck Barnard.

She was a perpetual volunteer.  She volunteered as a teacher at Belmont Christian Academy for several years.  She was an animal lover and volunteered at the Butler County Animal Shelter.  She served on the Friends Board of Andrea’s Mission for Women and volunteered at the facility. 

Barbara loved to decorate her home.  She enjoyed finding those unique pieces of furniture.  She was a doll collector.  She loved jewelry and costume jewelry.

She loved to sing, and she loved the Lord.  She was a member of Christ Covenant Church, and she never met a stranger. 

 Barbara was employed in several different occupations during her lifetime and the last several years she worked with Home Health. 

 Barbara is preceded in death by two sons: Troy and Mark Reeves and two sisters:  Anne Marie and Yvonne.

 

 She is survived by husband Harold Reeves, daughter Yevette Hardin and son Greg Rose (Doris). Five grandchildren, Jordan Green, Cassi Blanford (Chad), Justin Reeves (Jessica) Amanda Gilbert (Brian) and Jared Jones. 10 great- grandchildren and One great great grandchild.  Barbara will have a private burial at Bowling Green Gardens. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
