Betty Joyce (Childress) Ferrell

Betty Childress Ferrell, age 68, of Morgantown, KY passed away on Thursday, Feb 6, 2025 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.  She was born on Aug. 13, 1956 in Butler Co., KY.  Betty was a member of New Midway Baptist Church.  She was retired from Sumitomo Electric and also worked at the Boys and Girls Club.  Betty loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father Weldon Childress and brother-in-law Mike Ferrell.

Betty is survived by her husband of 49 years, Charles Ferrell; children Michael Ferrell (Amanda) and Adam Ferrell (Kindra); mother Cyrenia Brewer Childress; 6 grandchildren Caleb Fowler, Caden Ferrell, Audrey Ferrell (Spencer), MaKenna Blanchard, Will Kitchens and Braxton Kitchens; one great grandchild is on the way;  siblings Donna, Peggy, Bill (Edwinna), Bob, Norma Jean, Chris, Linda and James; sisters-in-law Teresa Wilson (Tony), Linda Young (John) and Mary Thacker (Jim); several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025 at 1:00pm at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Ferrell officiating.  Burial will follow in the Rochester Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 11 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and Wednesday, Feb. 12 from 9:00am until 1:00pm at Smith Funeral Home.
