Brenda June (Duke) Lawrence

Brenda June Duke Lawrence, age 69, of Louisville, Ky., formerly of Morgantown, passed away on Friday, Mar. 31, 2023. She was born in Louisville, Ky. on June 29, 1953 to the late Larn and Edna Cockrell Duke.  Brenda was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.   She loved her sons and grandchildren deeply.  She also enjoyed fishing, watching Family Feud with Steve Harvey and dancing at the Boogie Barn.  Brenda will be greatly missed by everyone who loved and cherished her.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Allen Lawrence; granddaughter Nevaeh Sky Woosley; siblings Hazel, Evon, D.C., Ruth, Randall, Virginia, Dewey, Kenneth and Teresa.  

Brenda is survived by her loving sons Travis Duke (Tammy) and Lonnie Woosley (Sunny); granddaughters Haylee Rena June Duke (Michael) and Danielle Hampton all of Louisville; sister Vickie Henderson of Morgantown; step-grandchildren Reshea Cooper, Adam Cooper (Brittany), Brad Cooper (Michelle), Cory Snell (Chelsie) and Randy Carroll; 22 step great-grandchildren; her loving cat, Socks and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, Apr. 3, 2023 at 3pm at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Raleigh Blancett officiating.  Burial will follow in the Upper Smith Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, Apr. 3 from 10am until 3pm at Smith Funeral Home.
