Carolyn Sue (West) Burden

Carolyn Sue West Burden, 71, of Morgantown, Ky., passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at her sister’s residence.  She was born in Warren Co., Ky. on July 9, 1949 to the late Fletcher Alston and Marie Payton West.   She was a retired homemaker and attended Leonard Oak Baptist Church.  Carolyn enjoyed sewing, playing cards and dice and going to the races.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Raymond Lee Burden; brother Ronnie West; grandson Jay Raymond Morris.  

She is survived by her children Jeanetta Hobbs (Keith) and Steven Burden both of Morgantown; grandchildren Kelsey Williams of Morgantown; great grandson Ryder Rasdall of Morgantown; siblings Linda Carroll (David), Larry West (Roberta), Lawrence West (Gale), Kenny West (Sandy), Glen West (Teresa) and David West (Joyce) all of Morgantown; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 8. 2021 at 1pm at Leonard Oak Baptist Church with Bro. Jewell Martin officiating.  Burial will be held in the Ridgeview Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 8 from 10am until time of service at Leonard Oak Baptist Church.
