Charles Riley Leach, age 72 of Morgantown, KY. passed away Sunday October 6, 2024 at his home. He was born in Indianapolis, IN on April 5, 1952 and was a retired International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 181. Charlie loved the Lord, and was saved by God's grace and he was a member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church. He was a great papaw, an avid Trump supporter, car enthusiast and helped anyone he could. He was preceded in death by his parents Beulah Myrl Lee Moffett and step-father Arble Moffett, his father Willis Riley Leach, his sister Karen.
Charles is survived by his wife Pearl Kitchens Leach, children Candyce Nicole Garrett (Doug) and Brittney Leach Irvin (Greg), step-daughter Stephanie Coleman (Mac) and his grandchildren Jaxon Riley Leach and Hudson Irvin, step-grandchildren Kiana Coleman and MacKenzie Coleman, his sisters Barb and Sue and brother Junior. Also his beloved puppies Winnie and Wilson.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, Oct. 11 at 2:00pm at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Nathan Ross officiating. Burial will be held in the Sandy Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 11 from 10:00am until 2:00pm at Smith Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 and Shriner's Children's Hospital, Processing Center, PO Box 947765, Atlanta, GA 30394.
