Deacon Earl Basham, 94, of Franklin, In. passed away on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020. He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on Nov. 28, 1925 to the late Euen and Elsie Lamastus Basham. He was of the Christian faith and worked for the United States Post Office.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sister and a brother.

Deacon is survived by his wife of 36 years Ruth Basham; children Francis Parker of Indiana, Betty Vickery of London, Ky., and Jr. Basham of Indiana; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters Exie Miller of Morgantown, Ky., Elizabeth Maynard of Auburn, Ky. and Loretta Elliott (Terry) of Russellville, Ky.; brother O.J. Basham (Sue) of Morgantown, Ky.; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2020 at 11am at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. David Hocker officiating.  Burial will follow in Hill Haven Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
