Doug Phelps

Doug Phelps, age 63, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Saturday, Apr. 15, 2023 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. He was born in Logan Co., Ky. on Mar. 4, 1960 to the late Clarence and Dorothy Douglas Phelps.  Doug was a member of Carve Rock Baptist Church and was an owner and truck driver for Double P Trucking.  He enjoyed riding his horse Big Ace and 4 wheeling on his farm with his dog, Bear.   He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Doris Lou Phelps and Brenda White; brothers Jimmie Phelps and Moss Phelps.

Doug is survived by his sisters Elaine Johnson (Bennett) and Carol Givens (Doug); brother Chester Phelps (Lydia); sister-in-law Ann Phelps; brother-in-law Tim White; several nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, Apr. 22, 2023 at 2pm at Carve Rock Baptist Church with Bro. Daniel Beaty officiating.  Burial will be held at Phelps Hill.  Visitation will be held on Friday, Apr. 21 from 4pm until 8pm at Smith Funeral Home and Saturday, Apr. 22 from 11am until 2pm at Carve Rock Baptist Church.
