Dwight Shane Embry

Dwight Shane Embry, 42, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Friday, May 3, 2019 at his residence. He was born on August 18, 1976 to the late Ted Shepherd and Sandra Embry Lee who survives.  Shane loved to hunt and fish with his friends, Lee Deweese and Scott Park.  He was preceded in death by his father; son Christopher Dylan Meredith; maternal grandmother Midge Shepherd, paternal grandmother Pearl Mitchell and cousin Nick Shepherd.

Shane is survived by his mother Sandra Embry Lee of Morgantown; stepfather Donnie Lee of Morgantown; sister Kim Wilson (Junior Jones) of Morgantown; brother Phil Armstrong (Angie) of Beaver Dam; aunts Kathy Brown (John) of Morgantown, Tina Hudson (Robert) of Roundhill, Roxanne Webster (J.D.) of Bowling Green; nieces Megan Embry of Morgantown, Heather Wilson of Lexington, Telsa Hill and Kayla Hill of Owensboro; nephew Dylan Armstrong of Beaver Dam; 3 great nieces and 3 great nephews.  

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 7 at 2pm at Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Newton Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, May 7 from 10am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
