Elbert Dell Kimmel

Elbert Dell Kimmel, age 62, of Morgantown, KY passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at the Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green.  He was born in Bowling Green, KY on June 20, 1963.  Elbert was a maintenance worker at Continental Mills for over 20 years.  He loved fishing on the river, traveling, turkey, deer hunting and he was a wonderful grill master.  He was preceded in death by his parents Marshall Kimmel and Omie Mae Pendley Kimmel and wife Gayla Piper Kimmel.

He is survived by his children Matt Kimmel (Elizabeth) of Morgantown and Brandi Deweese (A.J.) of Bowling Green, KY; grandchildren Julian, Jenelle, Bradley, Lee, Chloe, Sophia and Grayson; brother Troy Kimmel (Kim) and sister Angie Bratcher (Bruce); several nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026 at Smith Funeral Home from 3:00pm-8:00pm.
