Ella Dockery Filback, 75, of Brownsville, Ky. passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at her residence. She was born in Butler Co., Ky. on August 11, 1944 to the late Squire Bamis and Golda Bea Beasley Dockery. Ella was a homemaker and a member of Zion Harmony Baptist Church. She enjoyed taking care of all children, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she was known and loved by many as Mamaw Kay. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Eddie Ray Filback; daughter Martika Maiden; granddaughter Jacqueline Anaya; brother Jimmy Dockery; sisters Janie Dockery and Mae Dockery.
Ella is survived by her daughter Donna Coy and husband Chris of Brownsville; grandchildren Phillip Filback (Brittany), Robert Filback (Makayla), Ashley Hazelwood, Coty Coy, Matthew Coy (Cayla) and Tyler Coy (Alyssa); 20 great grandchildren; brothers Estil Dockery (Faye), Pete Dockery (LaDonna); sisters Allene Lamar (Ellis), Mary Bratcher; several nieces and nephews.
Due to the directives concerning large gatherings, we are abiding by rules set forth by the Governor of Kentucky concerning the health and well being of our staff and the families we serve. All services are private and under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
