Gary Lane Cox

Gary Lane Cox, age 59, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Sept. 21, 2024 in Nashville, TN.  He was born in Warren Co., KY on Nov. 27, 1964.  Gary attended New Gasper Church and he was a route salesman with Golden Flake, Sara Lee and Little Debbie.  He enjoyed farming, woodworking, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family.  He was preceded in death by his parents JC and Carol Deel Cox; his twin brother Terry and brother Jackie Cox.

Gary is survived by his wife of 20 years, Loretta Lindsey Cox; children Todd Neighbors (Ashley), Jesse Cox, Kelly Smith (Travis) and Mary Vance (Marchael); several grandchildren; brothers Michael Cox (Sherry), Tony Cox (Beverly); sister Christine Cox (Chris); several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024 at 1:00pm at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Woody Moore officiating.  Burial will follow in the Porter Cemetery with Tony Cox, Randy Russ, Tim Blanton, Timmy Fishburn, Tyler Cox, Todd Neighbors, Jesse Cox and Michael Cox serving as pall bearers. Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 27 from 11:00am until 8:00pm and Saturday from 10:00am until 1:00pm at Smith Funeral Home.
