Gerald Dean Hawkins

Gerald Dean Hawkins, age 78, of Rochester, KY passed away on Monday, Dec. 9, 2024.  He was born in Morgantown, KY on Aug. 17, 1946.  Gerald was the former owner of D&G Archery with his wife Deniece, he retired from TVA Paradise after 26 years, he was a member of Sandy Creek Missionary Baptist Church and a Veteran of the United States Army.  He enjoyed dancing, fishing and hunting with his grandkids and family.  He was also a member of the NWTF and the NRA.   He was preceded in death by his parents Elbridge and Loda Pearl Childers Hawkins and a brother Randall Hawkins.

Gerald is survived by his wife of 54 years, Deniece Hawkins; sons Justin Hawkins and Jeff Hawkins (Annie); grandchildren Carter and Emmie Hawkins; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, Dec. 13, 2024 at 11:00am at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Jarvis Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in the Rochester Cemetery.  Military Honors will be presented by the Ohio Co. Honor Guard.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec. 12 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and on Friday, Dec. 13 from 9:00am until 11:00am at Smith Funeral Home.
