Ida Pearl (Hunt) Coots

Ida Pearl Coots, age 85, of Louisville, Ky., passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at her residence in Louisville.  She was born July 10, 1936 in Morgantown, Ky. to the late Roy Hunt and Mary Bell  Hunt. She is preceded in death by her loving husband for over 52 years Harold Hugh Coots and half-sisters, Edna and Elodi.  Pearl was a member of Belmont General Baptist Church of Morgantown Ky. She worked at the Butler Co. Board of Education as a school bus driver. A few of her hobbies included reading and fishing . Pearl’s golden years in retirement were spent in South-West Florida with Hugh.  She is survived by daughter, Lynn Young of Fort Myers, Fl. and son, David Coots (Karen) of Louisville, Ky. With many nieces, nephews, and friends too numerous to mention.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, Oct 9 at 2pm at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. TJ Howard officiating.  Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 8 from 4pm to 8pm and Saturday from 12pm until time of service at Smith Funeral Home. Burial to follow at the Aberdeen Cemetery.
