J.B. McKinney

J.B. McKinney, age 88, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2023 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. He was born in Leetown, Ky. on Dec. 18, 1934 to the late Mondie and Louise Kitchens McKinney.  J.B. was a member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church and was a truck driver.  He enjoyed farming with his son and riding horses and mules.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Dyke McKinney, Billy Ray McKinney, Royce McKinney, William T. McKinney and Layman McKinney; sister Virginia McCoy and companion Omie Kimmel.

J.B. is survived by his children Kevin McKinney (Donna), Kathy Deel (Joey) all of Morgantown; grandchildren Nathan McKinney (Kaylyn), Gavin McKinney all of Morgantown, Gracie Clark (Drew) of Bowling Green and Dawson Deel of Morgantown; great grandchildren Hadlee and Lane McKinney and Margo Rose Clark; sister Mardell Deweese of Bloomington, In; sisters-in-law Lucy McKinney of Morgantown and Betty McKinney of Evansville, In.; several nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 1pm at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Neighbors and Bro. Murl Gray officiating. Burial will be held in the Sandy Creek Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Friday, March 3 from 3pm until 8pm and Saturday from 9am until 1pm at Smith Funeral Home.
