James Frank Carwile Jr.

James Frank Carwile Jr., age 70, of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away May 23rd, 2026 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky.   He was born on August 23rd,1955 to the late James Frank Carwile Sr. and Eleanor Chute Nutgrass.  He was a retired painter who enjoyed fishing, hiking and being outdoors.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters Donna Searcy, John Carwile, Mary Diehl, Chrissy Lynn Diehl and Paul Diehl. 

James is survived by his two children, daughter Elizabeth and son Charles; three step-children; his ex-wife Brenda and many grandchildren.  He was a wonderful father, husband, brother and son and he will be missed.

Cremation was chosen.  Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
