James Robert Kirby

James Robert Kirby, age 79, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away on Friday, Aug. 15, 2025 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.  He was born in Butler Co., KY on Apr. 23, 1946.  He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandkids. He was preceded in death by his son Tracy Kirby; parents George and Bonnie Parks Kirby; several brothers and sisters.

James is survived by his sons Richard Kirby (Lottie), Robert Kirby and Steven Kirby; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one sister Dixie LaGrand; several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2025 at 2:00pm at Youngtown Cemetery with Bro. Phillip Kennedy officiating.  Visitation will be at the cemetery from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Smith Funeral Home, PO Box 280, Morgantown, KY  42261.
