Obituary

James Paul “J.P” McKinney, age 56, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Friday, Nov. 25, 2022 at the Hospice House of Bowling Green. He was born in Butler Co. to the late Larry Wayne McKinney and Dottie Cannon McKinney on May 16, 1966. J.P. was a truck driver, loved to fish and ride motorcycles with his wife. He was preceded in death by parents; grandparents Harvey and Octavia Cannon; Dink and Minnie Mary McKinney; uncle Stanley Cannon; first wife Penny Givens McKinney.

 

J.P. is survived by his wife Christina Parks McKinney of Morgantown; children James Reed McKinney of Morgantown, Kristin Michelle Parks of Morgantown, Christopher Micheal Parks of Morgantown; grandchildren Destiny Michelle Bateman and Angel Kirby of Bowling Green; brother Matthew McKinney (Rebecca) of Florida.

 

Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022 at 6pm at Smith Funeral Home with Sister Leona Clark officiating. Visitation begins on Thursday, Dec. 1 from 4pm until time of service.
