Jana Joyce (Tomes) Forbes

Jana Joyce Forbes, age 84, of Morgantown, KY passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026.  She was born in Roundhill, KY on April 6, 1942 to Grady & Gusta Tomes.  Jana was a homemaker who loved flowers and gardening. Jana also cherished her family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Billy Joe Forbes and brother Jerry Tomes.

She is survived by her son Danny Forbes (Lora), two granddaughters Crystal Drake, Brenda Hutchinson (Timmy); five great grandchildren Stormie Drake, Caitlin Forbes, Leigha Phelps, Chloe Garner & Brayden Hutchinson; two great great grandchildren Paisley Drake & Giovanni Garcia; nephew Chris Tomes (Becky).

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 11:00 am at Smith Funeral Home with Bro Raleigh Blancett officiating. Burial will follow in the Hill Haven Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 25 from 9:00am until time of funeral.
