Jesse Clay "JC" Cox

Jesse Clay "JC" Cox, 93, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at the Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, Ky.  He was born in Logan Co., Ky. on March 29, 1927 to the late Virgil and Clara Cox, Cox.  JC was a member of New Gasper Baptist Church.  He was a WWII Veteran having served in the Army Air Corp.  He enjoyed farming, raising cows and working.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Carol Deel Cox; sons Terry and Jackie Cox; brothers Frank, Oscar and Joe Cox; sister Dorothy Steble.

JC is survived by his children Michael Cox (Sherry), Tony Cox (Connie), Gary Cox (Loretta) and Christine Cox all of Morgantown; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sisters Mary Elliott of Louisville and Shirley Blanton of Morgantown; brother Walter Cox and several nieces and nephews.

Due to the directives concerning large gatherings, we are abiding by rules set forth by the Governor of Kentucky concerning the health and well being of our staff and the families we serve.  All services are private and under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
