Josette "Jo" Harden

Josette “Jo” Harden, age 57, of Morgantown, KY passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 11, 2025 surrounded by her family and friends.  She was born in Indianapolis, IN on May 15, 1968.  She worked at United Coach and Tour for 24 years, where she took great care to keep the buses clean and ready for the next trip.  Jo was a friend to everyone, never a mom to her own children but just like a mom to everyone else’s.  She was preceded in death by her father Jerry Harden; grandparents Agnes and Delbert Minton, Ivy and Roy Harden and her aunt Dot.

She is survived by her mother Phyllis Minton-Smith; brothers Roger Harden and Tim Harden; sister Anna Johnson (Dustin); nephews Christian Harden (Lorna) and Hayden Johnson (Catie); nieces Alyssa Harden, Rebecca Hawkins (Aaron), Shelby Johnson (Colby); several aunts, uncles, great nieces and great nephews, fur babies Chigger and Rosie; best friends Sonya King (Ronald) and Bobby McKinney, along with her second family at the VFW and United Coach and Tour.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025 at 2:00pm at Smith Funeral Home with Sister Leona Jenkins officiating.  Visitation will be held on Monday, Oct. 13, 2025 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and Tuesday from 9:00am until 2:00pm at Smith Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Smith Funeral Home.
