Kathleen Embry Warren, 92, formerly of Beaver Dam, KY passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Wellington Parc Nursing Home in Owensboro, KY. She was born in Grancer in Butler County on September 26, 1926 to the late Purtle Embry and Lena Jones Embry. Kathleen was a Christian of the Churches of Christ faith and a homemaker. She loved genealogy, camping, cooking, sewing and playing Scrabble. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Glen, three brothers, Jim, Bert and Lionell Embry, and one sister, Jewel Gardner.
Kathleen is survived by three children; Stephen Warren (Phyllis) of Henderson, KY, Sharon Gipson (Richard) of Franklin, KY, and Stuart Warren (Becky) of Bowling Green, KY, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren, two sisters; Maxine Bryant (Raymond) of Olney, IL and Jean Wilmington (Fred) of Littleton, CO, and one brother, Bill Embry (Helen) of Glenview, IL, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 18 at 11am at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Kenneth Grizzell officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, June 18 from 9am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home. Donations may be made to Potter Children’s Home and Family Ministries.
