Lesia Gail (Burden) Dockery

Lesia Gail Burden Dockery, age 63, of Morgantown, KY passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at the Medical Center.  She was born in Morgantown, KY on Nov. 21, 1962.  Lesia was a member of Barnett’s Lick Baptist Church.  She was a homemaker and childcare provider for more than 30 years.  She lovingly nurtured countless children and families in her community.  She was preceded in death by her father Dallas Burden and granddaughter Chloe Henderson.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Michael Dockery; children Brandie Smith (Matthew) and Kim Henderson (Charles); grandchildren Mattilynn and Parker Smith, Zoe, Kalie and Dillon Henderson; Lesia shared a special bond with Courtney Parrish and her children Brenner and Arlee; mother Evalina Burden; brothers Joe Burden (Sue), Teddy Burden (Trisha), Chris Burden (Tracy) and David Burden; brothers-in-law Billy Dockery (Rita), Jackie Dockery, Mark Dockery (Janine); sisters-in-law Robin Hawes (Ricky) and Pauline Dockery; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 2:00pm at Barnett’s Lick Baptist Church with Bro. Gene Garner officiating.  Burial will follow in the Isaiah Evans Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 20 from 10:00am until 2:00pm at Barnett’s Lick Baptist Church.
