Lucille Henderson Daugherty, 88, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at her residence. She was born in Butler Co., Ky. on July 2, 1931 to the late Bert and Essie Daugherty Cook. She was a member of Aberdeen Missionary Baptist Church and worked for General Electric for 39 years. She enjoyed reading, cooking, quilting and being with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband Jr. Henderson; two sisters Beulah Snodgrass and Shirley Rogers; two brothers Mayburn Cook and Troy Cook.
Lucille is survived by her husband of 21 years Ervin Daugherty of Morgantown; two daughters Debbie McCoy (William) of Morgantown and Pam Burke (Kevin) of New Jersey; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sister Louise Daugherty and several nieces and nephews.
Due to the directives concerning large gatherings, we are abiding by rules set forth by the Governor of Kentucky concerning the health and well being of our staff and the families we serve. All services are private and under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
