Mark Lynne Simmons

Mark Lynne Simmons of Bowling Green, Ky. passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020.  He was born on Dec. 17, 1959 in Warren Co., Ky. to the late Gaylon and Grace Bessinger Simmons.  Mark was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church, an Army Veteran and a truck driver.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and driving a tractor with his grandson.  He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years Tonnie Bratcher Simmons of Bowling Green; two daughters Cynthia Taylor of Bowling Green and Mackenzie Coulter (Samuel) of Bowling Green; one son Mark Simmons II of Bowling Green; three grandchildren Caden Taylor, Loralie Taylor and Isabella Taylor; two sisters Alisa Simmons of Bowling Green and Juanita Hagan of Crestwood, Ky; two nieces and one nephew.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 1pm at Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Weakley officiating.  Burial will follow in the Newton Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, Feb. 15 from 9am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
