Melinda Ann (Burden) Peay

Melinda Ann Burden Peay, 63, of Morgantown, Ky. went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at the Hospice House in Bowling Green.  She was born in Owensboro, Ky. on April 4, 1958 to the late Roy and Myrl Coleman Burden. Melinda retired from Western Ky. University where she was a stock supervisor. She was a member of Barnetts Lick Baptist church, she loved to fish, kayak, hike, travel, ride bikes and loved to do crafts. She was wonderfully creative and could make anything look beautiful.  Melinda was preceded in death by her parents.
Melinda is survived by her husband of 30 years Steve Peay. Daughter Hanna Southerland (Joe). Son Hunter Peay. Grandchildren; Evan and William Southerland. Sister Jackie Thomas. Nieces Lesley Thomas and Haleigh Sanderson (Matt).
Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Sunday, March 13 at 2 pm with Bro. Darryl Dockery and Bro. Walter Jordan officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hill Haven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 12 from 1pm-6pm and Sunday from 12:30pm until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
