Michael Lloyd West

Michael Lloyd West, age 69, of Bowling Green, KY, formerly of Morgantown, KY passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky.  He was born in Warren Co., KY on May 25, 1956.  He was previously a truckdriver and a member of First United Methodist Church.  He was an avid gardener and loved attending car shows.  One of his greatest joys was proudly serving his community by fulfilling the role of Santa Claus during the holiday season.  He had the beard, belly and, most importantly, the heart for the job.  Michael was preceded in death by his parents William Lloyd and Nina Mae Johnson West; brother Kevin Dale West; nephew William Dale West and granddaughter Livia Winter Gray.

Michael is survived by his three daughters, Kimberly Machell Ballard, Kyla Marie Dockery (Shawn) and Crystal Gail Page (Andrew); three granddaughters, Carlee Morgan Ballard, Chloe Jewele Slaughter (Riley) and Cardyn Kwynn Dockery; three grandsons, Zachary Reed Miles, Carson Kennedy Page and Harrison “Harry” Michael Page; two great grandsons, Fox Raynor Miles and Axel Frederick Miles; an uncle, aunt and cousins.

A private graveside memorial will be held at a later date with family. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice House of Southern KY, 5871 Scottsville Rd., Bowling Green, KY 42104.
