Odessa Lynn (Lee) Martin, 56, of Woodburn, Kentucky, passed away on December 31, 2024. She was born on August 16, 1968, in Bowling Green and raised in Provo, Kentucky.
Affectionately nicknamed “BoomBoom,” Odessa was full of life, known for her big voice and bold personality. She loved to sing and was blessed with a beautiful soprano voice. Odessa was a graduate of Georgetown College and a proud KA Rose. She had a deep love for the Lord and was saved at an early age at Monticello Baptist Church. She was a member of Woodburn Baptist Church for many years, where she cherished the steadfast love and support of the congregation for herself and her family.
Odessa was preceded in death by her grandparents, Louis and Topsy (Holman) Lee and Jessie Ray and Colene (Bell) Hazel; her beloved uncles, Bob Lee and Philip Hazel; brothers-in-law, Winston Woodward and Chris Summerall; and a cousin who was like a brother, Chris Holman. She will be deeply missed by her boys, Dalton and Dylan; her parents, Randy and Sandra (Hazel) Lee; and her sisters, Sharon (Mark) Hardin, Laura (Chris) Kitchens, and Rhanda (Scott) Williams. Odessa is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who dearly loved her.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm Saturday January 04, 2025 at Smith Funeral Home with Shane Wells officiating. Visitation will begin at 10am until time of Memorial Service. A private family service will be held at a later date in Doolin- Rone Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Monticello Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 601 Monticello Church Rd, Morgantown Ky 42261.
