Peggy LeAnne (Hatcher) Ayers

Peggy LeAnne Hatcher Ayers, age 54, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at the U.K. Chandler Hospital in Lexington, Ky.  She was born on Dec. 21, 1968 in Louisville, Ky. to Jerry Hatcher and the late Carol Cardwell Spurlock.  She was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and worked at Casco for 17 years. She loved painting, music, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.  LeAnne was preceded in death by her mother.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Craig Ayers of Morgantown, Ky.; son Alex Ayers (Summer) of Barbourville, Ky.;  daughters Addie Lykins (Dusty) and Aidrey Moore (Matt) both of Morgantown, Ky.; nine grandchildren Shealeigh Dockery, Kaydence, Kennedy and Colson Lykins, Rhealynn Carroll, Ashton Lee, Wyatt Moore, Mia Ayers and Hazel Matthews; father Jerry Hatcher (Barbara) of Russellville, Ky.; sisters Maurita Harris of Bowling Green, Ky., Jennifer Johnson and Alesha Hatcher both of Russellville, Ky. and brother Brad Hatcher of Russellville, Ky; mother-in-law Helen Ayers of Morgantown, Ky.

Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Saturday, July 29 at 12pm with Bro. Bill Downey officiating. Visitation will begin Friday, July 28 from 4pm until 8pm and Saturday from 9am until 12pm at Smith Funeral Home.
