Ralph Edward Kitchens

Ralph Edward Kitchens, age 79, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Leetown, KY on Sept. 28, 1944.  He retired from Holland Dairy and the Kentucky Highway State Department after 25 plus years.  Ralph enjoyed spending time with his family, playing with his great-grandkids, playing the guitar and collecting old coins.  He was preceded in death by his parents John and Erdine “Cutie” Lee Kitchens, daughter Brandi Kitchens and brother Robert Kitchens.

Ralph is survived by his granddaughter Maddy Cessna (Trenton) of Morgantown; great-grandchildren Harper and Tatum Cessna of Morgantown; brothers William Chester “Bud” Lee (Beverly Jean) and John Kitchens (Lucille) all of Morgantown and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, Aug. 19, 2024 at 2:00pm at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Raleigh Blancett officiating.  Burial will follow in the Sandy Creek Cemetery where Chris Martin, Cameron Martin, Terry Thomason and Trenton Cessna will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Monday, Aug. 19 from 9:30am until 2:00pm at Smith Funeral Home.   In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Smith Funeral Home, PO Box 280, Morgantown, KY  42261.
