Randall Anderson

Randall Anderson, age 78, of Springfield, TN passed away on March 9, 2025 at the Northcrest Medical Center in TN.  He was born in Butler Co., KY on January 5, 1947 to the late Joe C. and Clarcie Cook Anderson.  Randall was a radio relay and carrier operator and mechanic in Vietnam. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal,  Sharpshooter Rifle Award, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars. Randall loved to watch sports, play bingo and spending time at Baker’s store talking with his friends. Randall was also a great softball player and phenomenal pitcher. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister Betty Anderson; brother Lannie Anderson; granddaughter Kayla Chute; grandson Robert Bray IV; son-in-law Robert Bray III; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is survived by his daughters Becky Givens Otey, Karla Jones (Jim) and Denise Owen; grandchildren Clara Otey (Ryan Hammerschmidt), Agnes Otey, Dillon Jones, Corey and Brandon Anderson, Haleigh Blackburn; two great-granddaughters; sister Sarah Jolene Gaston and special niece Sherri Gaston.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 2:00pm at Smith Funeral Home with Bro Paul Parks officiating.  Burial will follow in the Anderson Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 15 from 9 :00am until 2:00pm at Smith Funeral Home.
