Rev. Bill Embry Obituary

Rev. Bill J. Embry, age 81, of Browder, KY passed away on Feb. 24, 2025 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab Center. He was born in Butler Co., KY on July 13, 1943. Bill has been a minister since 1970. He loved reading, studying and fishing. He was preceded in death by his daughter Beverly Jean Embry; parents Bill and Emma Johnson Embry; brothers Wendell Embry and Joddie Embry; sister Carolyn Renfrow.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Linda Peay Embry; children Mark Embry, Scott Embry (Misty), Jonathan Embry (Loni), Chad Embry (Megan); 10 grandchildren Kayla, Dylan, Savannah, Luke, Zachary, Aiden, Kinsley, Andrew, Matthew and Nathan Embry; 4 great granddaughters Abby, Ella, Lyla Embry and Olive Keene; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 2:00pm at Smith Funeral Home with Sister Mary James officiating. Burial will follow in the Wade Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at Smith Funeral Home.
