Richard D. Sublett, age 61, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023 at his residence.  He was born in Butler County on April 16, 1962.  Richard was a member of Old Decker Baptist Church.  Richard Trimmed Trees for Townsend Tree Service. He loved collecting ball cards, loved sports and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents Aubrey Sublett and Rachel Dunn Sublett; brother Randell Sublett, Ricky Sublett; sisters Michelle Poole and Virginia Kay Russ.

Richard is survived by his wife of 42 years Leslie Lucas Sublett; three sons Bryan Sublett, Lucas Sublett (Casara) and Justin Sublett; grandchildren Gabriel, Troy, Anakin, Sammy and Turner Sublett; siblings Eliane Casey, Teddy Sublett (Doris), Mary Cannon, John Sublett and Sherry Key; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023 at 3 pm at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Lacefield officiating.  Burial will be held in the Wade Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023 from 9am until 3pm at Smith Funeral Home.
