Richard "Dick" Forbes

Richard “Dick” Forbes, age 84, of Morgantown, KY passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at the Baptist Health Deaconess Hospital in Madisonville, KY.  He was born in Butler Co., KY on May 9, 1940 and was retired from the State Highway Department.  Dick was an avid collector and passionate about trucks and tractors.  He was preceded in death by his parents Leborn and Ollie Heath Forbes and his siblings.

Dick is survived by several nieces and nephews and his companion Mildred Basham.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 12:00pm at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. TJ Howard officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hill Haven Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be held on Monday, April 14 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm and on Tuesday from 9:00am until 12:00pm at Smith Funeral Home.
