Ruby Nell Morphew McKinney, 89, of Morgantown, Ky., passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at her residence. She was born on Jan. 14, 1932 to the late Ira and Nancy Jane Phelps Morphew.  She was one of the first employees for Kanes Manufacturing in the 1950’s and a member of Cool Springs General Baptist Church for more than 80 years. She loved genealogy and embroidery.  Ruby is preceded in death by her parents; husband Wilbur Estill McKinney; three sisters Lucille McKinney Miller,  Gustava Piper and Myrl Humphrey.  

She is survived by 2 sons Joddie McKinney (Angie) of Morgantown and Robbie McKinney (Gayline) of Morgantown; two grandchildren Rebecca Raymer (Jeff) of Morgantown and Elizabeth Porter (Josh) of Morgantown; three great grandchildren Evelyn and Eden Porter and  Chandler Tinsley all of Morgantown; special niece Wanda McKinney Phelps (Cletus) of Morgantown.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 2pm at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. David Youngblood officiating.  Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Friday, July 30 from 4:30pm-8pm and Saturday from 11am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
