Sherry D. (Brooks) Phelps

Sherry D. Brooks Phelps, age 58, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Monday, Feb. 13, 2023 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. She was born in Louisville, KY on January 19, 1965 to the late Charles “Good Time Charlie” Brooks and Vena Cardwell Brooks.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Morgantown Community Church.  Sherry enjoyed crafting and music.  She was preceded in death by her parents and nephew Josey Smith.  

Sherry is survived by her husband of 20 years, Ralph Phelps; children Robert Anthony Holzknecht (Jennie Baker), Chelsea Deel, Tristan Phelps (Karmen), Hannah Jo Hammond (Trenton) and Leigha Shea Phelps; grandchildren Anthony, Cayden, Chris, Hunter, Alexis, Charleigh, Clayton, Liam, Peyton and Silas; sisters Kathy, Vicky and Brenda; step-mother Joyce Brooks; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, Feb. 17, 2023 at 12pm at Smith Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Embry Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 15 and Thursday, Feb. 16 from 11am until 8pm and Friday, Feb. 17 from 8am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
