Steve Alan Pendley

Steve Alan Pendley, 59 of Provo, Ky. passed away on Saturday, Nov.17, 2018 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. He was born in Butler Co. on Feb. 10, 1959 to the late Bobby and Lucy Johnson Pendley.  He was a member of  Monticello Baptist Church, was a heavy equipment operator and a member of the IUOE Local 181.  He loved his grandkids, farming, working with his cows, watching the crops grow, spending time on the river and enjoying the company of his friends.  Steve is preceded in death by his parents and sister Karon Pendley.

Steve is survived by his wife Patricia Childress Pendley of Provo; children Julie Pendley Crowder (Derek) of Bowling Green, Cody Pendley of Morgantown; grandchildren Chris, Xzavier & Carly; brother David Pendley (Mesha) of Provo; sister Rita Pendley Haynes of Leitchfield; step children James Whittinghill of Morgantown, Angela Shivon Whittinghill Barbee (Chris) of Lewisburg, Joseph Whittinghill of Auburn; seven step grandchildren that he also loved; several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews; Steve had several close friends too numerous to mention.

Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, Nov. 21. at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Farrell officiating.  Burial will follow in the Monticello Cemetery.  Visitation will begin on Monday, Nov. 19 from 5-8pm, Tuesday from 8am-8pm and Wednesday from 8am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
