Tina (Martin) Porter

Tina Martin Porter, age 55, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away peacefully

on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2023 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky.  She was born on Nov. 7, 1967 in Logan Co., Ky.  She was a Christian and a member of Christ Covenant Church.  She had a passion for teaching, learning, and taught at Morgantown Elementary School for 28 years.  Tina was awarded the Champion for Children Lifetime Achievement Award for 2022.  The greatest joys of her life were her grandchildren and being with her family.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Scott Porter; children Audrey Pendley (Collin) and Andrew Porter; grandchildren Porter and Emory Pendley; mother Sue Henderson (Maurice); father Marlin Martin; sisters Angie McKinney (Joddie) and Sonia Smith (Johnny); step-brother Patrick Henderson (Jenny); step-sister Mary Ellen Embry (Bradley); sisters-in-law Lora Murphy (Marty) and Leah Bratcher (Chris) and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at Christ Covenant Church on Saturday, Sept. 2nd, 2023 at 2pm with Bro. Woody Moore officiating.  Burial will follow in the Belmont Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 1st from 3pm until 8pm and Saturday from 9am until 2pm at Christ Covenant Church, 116 Norris Ln., Morgantown, Ky. Under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Morgantown, Ky.
