Tiny Jerlene (Proctor) McCoy

Tiny Jerlene Proctor McCoy, age 81, of Morgantown, KY passed away on Thursday, April, 2, 2026 at her residence.  She was born in Butler Co., KY on December 24, 1944 to the late Oakley and Ruth White Proctor.  Jerlene was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church.  She cherished friends from working at Graves-Gilbert Clinic, Sumitomo Electric and Kane's Industries.  She was known for her faith in God, her unwavering love for her family and her constant kindness toward others.  Her caring nature touched everyone around her.  Her life was a reflection of love, grace, compassion and quiet strength.  Her hobbies include sewing, collecting ink pens but most importantly spoiling her grandbabies. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband Wallace “Coy” McCoy; sister Thelma Gaskey.

Jerlene is survived by her two daughters Wanda Carroll (Tim) of Morgantown, Vonda Barks (Paul) of Morgantown and  her son Kenny McCoy (Mykel) of Bowling Green; nine grandchildren BJ Carroll (Amanda), Jordy Carroll, Brian Carroll (Kelli) all of Morgantown; Haley Selman (John) of Ansbach, Germany, Christina Guengerich (Chase) of Vestavia Hills, AL, John Barks (Krissy) of Morgantown, Riah, Logan and Aubri McCoy of Bowling Green, KY; eleven great-grandchildren Addy, Capri, Greyson, Remi, Emerson, Aurora, Ian, Anna, Gunnar, Addison and Jernie; one brother Kenneth Proctor (Debbie) and many special nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 1:00pm at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Raleigh Blancett officiating.  Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Monday, April 6 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and Tuesday, April 7 from 8:00am until 1:00pm at Smith Funeral Home.
