Vernie Ed Deweese

Vernie Ed DeWeese, age 86, of Morgantown, KY passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.  He was born in Welcome, KY on Oct. 5, 1938.  Ed worked for Coleman Bros. Car Lot as a mechanic for over 60 years.  He loved farming and driving around.  He was preceded in death by his wife Emma Dean Baize DeWeese and his parents Corbie and Minnie Wilson DeWeese; sisters Dorene Dusky, Doris Coleman; brothers Corbie Jr. DeWeese, Kenneth DeWeese, Rollie DeWeese and Robert DeWeese.

Ed is survived by his brother Danny DeWeese (LoRei) and sister Ruth Daugherty; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a few great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at 2:00pm at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Lawson Embry officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 9 from 10:30am until 2:00pm at Smith Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers please donate to The Gideons International, PO Box 195, Morgantown, KY  42261.
