Virginia “Ginny” M. Clark West, age 73, of Bowling Green, KY passed away peacefully, surrounded by love and care, on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2025 at her residence. She was born in Butler Co., KY on May 28, 1952 and was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church. Ginny lived a life marked by strength, a compelling smile, a sense of humor, creativity and a strong faith in the Lord. She touched many lives socially and professionally through a career as a seamstress and designer, a God given gift she possessed. She was a loving mother who enjoyed cooking meals for her family on holidays and doing volunteer work for The Humane Society. She had a profound love for animals and made meaningful contributions to their wellbeing. Ginny will be remembered for her positive traits, warm spirit, resilience, laughter and her devotion to the Lord Jesus and her family. Her memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents Newton Clark and Alice Phelps Crenshaw; sister Judy Arnold; brothers Randy Clark and Ronnie Clark.
Ginny is survived by her husband of 33 years, David West; loving daughter Lesia Collins; sons Glenn Johnson (Jenny), Steven Johnson (Amanda), Heath West (Myranda); 9 grandkids; 5 great grandkids; sisters Julie Young (Phillip), Kitty Clark, Shawna Crenshaw, Jessie Clark (Wendy), Marty Crenshaw (Robin) and several nieces and nephews; also her fur baby, Bella Boo. Ginny was cared for by David and Lesia, whose compassion and presence brought her comfort and peace during her final days.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025 at 12:00pm at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Causey officiating. Burial will follow in the Fanny Rone Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 19 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and on Wednesday from 10:00am until 12:00pm at Smith Funeral Home.
