Waylon McCoy

Waylon McCoy, age 92, of Morgantown, KY passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2024 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab Center.  He was born in Quality, KY on March 21, 1932.  Waylon was a carpenter, a Veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the Cassia Lodge #272 F. & A.M.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Oden McCoy; son Charles Lynn McCoy; daughter-in-law Connie Lane Forbes McCoy; parents Robert and Vellie Cooper McCoy; sister Ollie Ruth Lewis; brother-in-law J.P. Lewis.

Waylon is survived by his grandson, Charles R. McCoy and wife Tobie McCoy; great grandfather of Hayden Isabelle and Kennedy Layne McCoy ; step-grandchildren Ashley Hawkins and Matt Hawkins; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024 at 1:00pm at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Page and Bro. Woody Moore officiating.  Military Honors will be presented by the Ohio Co. Honor Guard.  Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov.19 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm with a Masonic Service at 6:00pm and on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Smith Funeral Home.
