William “Dudley” Baize, 78, of Morgantown, Ky., passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on April 5, 1943 to the late William Pie and Edith Lucille Phelps Baize. He attended Barnett’s Lick Baptist Church, loved watching the Three Stooges, drawing, fishing and spending time with his family. Dudley is preceded in death by his parents; brother Jerry Baize; sisters Laura Faye Baize and Linda Baize.
He is survived by his brothers Weldon Baize (Shirley) and Sammy Baize all of Morgantown; sisters Carolyn Jean Smith, Joyce Neighbors (Freddie) and Judy Carroll (Timothy) all of Morgantown and Claudean Phelps (Barry) of Cave City; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 2pm with Bro. Walter Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in the Newton Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Thursday, April 29 from 4pm to 8pm and Friday from 8am until time of service.
Everyone must wear a mask and social distancing is required. No outside food or drink may be brought in.
