Zelphia (Woosley) Shain

Zelphia Woosley Shain, age 90, of, Jetson, Ky., passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green.  She was born in Jetson, Ky. on July 3, 1931 to the late Role and Leora Brooks Woosley.  Zelphia was a member of Temple Hill General Baptist Church and a Homemaker.  She enjoyed planting flowers and taking care of them.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Ertest Shain; daughter Kathy Shain.

Zelphia is survived by daughters Barbara Shain Gabbard (Tom) of Roundhill, Connie Shain Cardwell (Freddie) of Roundhill and Brenda Shain Card (Arlander) of FL; son Anthony Shain (Sherri) of Jetson; grandchildren Brent Cardwell (Felicia), Chris Cardwell (Ma’Cayla), Paul S. Roof, Zelphina Card, Wil Gabbard (Brooke), Brett Shain (Ashlynne), Alyssa Shain, Trenton Shain, Soleol Shain and Leo Phelps III; great grandchildren Ethan Cardwell, Wyatt Cardwell, Shin Roof, Sara Fields, Archer Gabbard, Norah Gabbard, Shyla Shain, Olivia Shain and Alice Hatcher; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, Oct. 24 at 2pm at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Rodney Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lumbustown Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, Oct. 23 from 11am to 8pm and Sunday from 10am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
